Gave a poor excuse for FMLA forms that needed to be filled out for a family member that was caring for an Alzheimer’s patient of theirs. In the past year, the forms were filled out with no problem. This time, the office manager wanted the family member to be seen out of network and pay out of pocket for the caregiver “exam” and pay a separate fee for the form to be filled out. I am a nurse and it was their patient’s condition that was in question, not the health of the caregiver (me).

I made the appointment to renew my medical marijuana license as I've done every time it comes due.
I didn't have a problem with the increase of $5 from $80 to $85. It had previously been at $80 for the office visit that covered a 2-year renewal period which had to be a cash pay since my insurance doesn't cover it.
However, only AFTER paying for the visit AND watching Dr. "C" sign the paperwork did he say, "Oh by the way, since you're getting the 2 year renewal, the charge is going to be $165.". Wait, what ?? That's NOT what I paid for my last office visit which was also the same 2 year renewal NOR was it the amount I was quoted when I called to make the current appointment !!
I pay the Medical Marijuana Registry for however many years I'm renewing for...NOT the doctor. I'm ONLY supposed to have to pay him the $85 quoted for the office visit . To have to pay him and the MMR for EACH year of the renewal is the equivalent of being DOUBLE CHARGED !!!
As I said, I had ALREADY PAID for the office visit but when I told him that that wasn't right and I didn't have the extra money he CHANGED MY PAPERWORK from 2 years down to 1 year ONLY !! All so he could rip me off of money he's not entitled to! I had no idea he was so hard up. It certainly was a rude awakening that he isn't the honorable, trust worthy doctor I always believed him to be but just another greedy, money over ethics piece of dog droppings he SHOWED HIMSELF to be.
